Abstract

In this article I study some of the ideological and political interstices that can be found in Juan Montalvo’ novel Capítulos que se le olvidaron a Cervantes to show how they are related to the conception of the main characters. In order to delimit the field of analysis, I will determine the central aspects of the political thought that the author develops in chapter IV. To do so, I will refer to Cervantes’ and Avellaneda’s Quixote. I will base my discussion about the concepts of ideology and social representations on the works of van Dijk (1999), Althusser (2013) and Žižek (2013).
