Abstract

Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire is one of the most widespread and memorable plays of American modern theatre; its influence - not merely on the realistic dramatic tradition - is unquestionable and made visible by the countless adaptations of William’s play, transforming it into a classic literary work of the 20th century.

Author Biography

Rodrigo Navarrete

Rodrigo is currently working as an assistant for two literature courses: Contemporary Literary Theory and Drama. He is also an active member of Sudor de Poeta, a group of young writers and poets without a specific purpose. He translates uninteresting articles for a living and spends most of his time moving from one place to another, his point being... he can't stay still. He prefers to dance, to write, to learn from other cultures and to travel.
