Abstract

This article presents the pleasure of the gesture of breathing as an entrance to a practice of vocal exploration. To do this, I will address some ideas regarding the concept of every day’s pleasure by Epicurus and the concept of pleasure as an impulse by Reich. These ideas are proposed as a starting point to reflect on the notions that hegemonise our relationship with the body and its implications in a vocal practice.
