Abstract

Juan Villegas’s proposal responds to a double need: on the one hand, to expose the essentials of the theoretical and methodological premises underlying research on the dramatic work, and, on the other, to establish the relevance of a disciplinary framework that the time (1963, 1971) was a foundational basis for the so-called dramatic analysis in Chile and Latin America. The constitution of a disciplinary field —from dramatic analysis to theatrical studies or theatrical theory—, become an expression of the interdisciplinary and the transdisciplinary, forms a spaceof validation and legitimation in which the material conditions of production of the discourses determine the recognition logics.
