Abstract

The following article deepens conceptual notions of comedy and popular performance by analyzing the Compañía de Teatro Observatorio Popular’s restaging of El Evangelio según San Jaime, directed by Mauricio Bustos with text by Jaime Silva. It aims to demonstrate and explain the implementation of dramaturgical and performance strategies linked to comedy, which seek to create a popular theatrical event.
