PUPPET MAGNETISM. AN APPROACH TO ENIGMA IN ANIMATED OBJECTS

Abstract

The present article constitutes a proposal of analysis to approach the enigma that emanates from the objects present in the theatrical scene, whose power of attraction we call Object magnetism. Specifically, we will review the case of animated objects emanating a puppet magnetism capable of simultaneously causing a sensation of fascination and rejection, which scenic strategies will enhance. As will be appreciated, this Puppet magnetism will depend on fluctuations produced between the oscillations of presence and absence, the intermittences of living and dead elements and the establishment of links between humans and animated objects.
