History and Fiction in Del amor y otros demonios

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyse the discursive relations between the history and the fiction like there are represented in the novel Del amor y otros demonios (1994) written by Gabriel García Márquez. The article is based on some concepts of literary theory, and history. It puts special attention to specific aspects taken from the new latin american historical novel. The same aspects helps to understand that both languages –literary and historical– are importants in the aesthetic proposal of the Colombian writer.
