Abstract

This article offers an analysis of post-humanization and the place of the ancestral in Edmundo Paz Soldán’s novel Iris. It explores the complex relationships that emerge between political and cultural resistance, religions, different forms of leadership, and psycho-emotional issues. From the novel´s projected dystopian future and the dynamics that impact humanity in the narrated world, finally arises the philosophical question about mankind.
