This work is part of the DURACON Ibero-American project, which seeks to characterize the concrete durability in Ibero-American environmental conditions, being based on the concrete reinforced samples exposition in at least two different atmospheres (marine and urban), for each Ibero-American country. Results from concrete reinforced probes exposed in Chihuahua-City, Mexico (atmospheres urban-industrial) environmental conditions during 24 months of exposition were obtained. Two types of concrete were used in water/cement ratios of 0.45 and 0.65 respectively. Furthermore, three covers (15, 20 and 30 cm) were evaluated too. The present work focused on the measurements of electrochemical parameters to evaluate the corrosion susceptibility for the metallic bars through the measurement and monitoring of corrosion potentials, and implementing the lineal polarization resistance (LPR) technique to measurement of corrosion rates.
